Raising teens can sometimes be fraught with difficulty.  It does not have to be that way.

I can help!

ADOLESCENCE
The teenage years are a period of intense growth, not only physically but emotionally and intellectually.  This is also the stage when adolescents explore their independence and develop a sense of self.  Everyone is different and there is a wide range of what's considered normal.  Some teens start very early and others very late.

The teen years can be difficult for parents and kids alike.  The surge of hormonal changes, new academic and social challenges, world events, traumatic events, significant life changes, mood swings, family discord and shifting family dynamics can be overwhelming.

A certain amount of change is normal during the teen years.  When the changes are too drastic or long-lasting and cause a switch in personality or behavior, it is time to find help.
“Adolescents are not monsters. They are just people trying to learn how to make it among the adults in the world, who are probably not so sure themselves”
Virginia Satir
“Adolescence is not a period of being “crazy” or “immature.” It is an essential time of emotional intensity, social engagement, and creativity.” ― Daniel J. Siegel
